Commit4bebdc7a85("bpf: add helper bpf_perf_prog_read_value") added helper bpf_perf_prog_read_value so that perf_event type program can read event counter and enabled/running time. This commit, however, introduced a bug which allows this helper for tracepoint type programs. This is incorrect as bpf_perf_prog_read_value needs to access perf_event through its bpf_perf_event_data_kern type context, which is not available for tracepoint type program. This patch fixed the issue by separating bpf_func_proto between tracepoint and perf_event type programs and removed bpf_perf_prog_read_value from tracepoint func prototype. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
